Japan - Niseko
Niseko Ski Resort is widely regarded as Japan’s number 1 ski resort, located in Hokkaido, 2.5hrs drive from Chitose Airport and the nearby city of Sapporo. Comprised of 4 interlinked ski resorts – Grand Hirafu, Hanazono, Niseko Village and An’nupuri – it is renowned for its consistency and quality of powder snow throughout the winter. Averaging around 15m+ of snow each season, Niseko is famous for its wide open powder bowls, tree runs, and stunning views of Mt Yotei.
There's plenty to do off the slopes too with an abundance of cafes, restaurants and nightlife choices. You can also enjoy snow shoeing, Olsen (hot springs), snowmobiling and cat skiing.
A few clips to give you an idea!!
The overview of the trip is this - We fly from London to Tokyo, and then take an internal flight for approx 1.5 hours to Sapporo (New Chitose airport), from there it is a 2.5 hour transfer to Niseko. The trip in itself will be an experience, but when we get into resort, get the planks on the true adventure starts. Going that distance to ski, we must make the most out of it, so 5 days of hard skiing is the plan!
